Labradorite, the “Gemstone of Positivity”

Many people who are depressed ask me which stone I would choose for depression. I re-phrase their question and ask them if they’d like to know what gemstone I use with my handcrafted jewelry for staying positive.

Labradorite has always been a positive experience for me, both personally and professionally. As a jewelry designer, I’ll never forget the first time I laid eyes upon this seductive gemstone.  I was immediately taken in.  That night, I had a dream where it was designed with aquamarine crystals to enhance its beauty.  I’ve used this design ever since.   Labradorite is no doubt THE single most strikingly gorgeous gemstone I  have worked with and personally its influence is amazing!

It carries with it universal properties but it’s energy is explosive, yet not too much that you are overcharged.  It tends to mellow me, even to the point of helping me sleep while at the same time it energizes me when that extra touch is needed.

Notice its play on light:  At precisely the right angle, your eyes will catch this dazzling show of light unfold through a prism, which disappears as mysteriously as it shows when you move about or change postions.  With top grade Labradorite however, you’ll notice this iridescent flash almost everywhere on the stone.  It comes in green, cobalt blue, light blue, purple, orange and even yellow.  The blue flash however, is the most sought after and you may see why in this photo.  It attracts men like I’ve never seen of all other stones, and it is unusual to not receive many compliments if not sales when I’m wearing a handmade Labradorite necklace from my collection.

On a spiritual level, Labradorite is known as the ‘intuition stone’.  It also helps us let go of the past and move on in the future in a positive light.  Positivity is the core factor that leads to trusting one’s intuition, moving forward and doing so with enthusiasm.  Intuition is what our guts tells us and  Labradorite is a guiding factor in helping us trust our intuition and dreams.  I did just that, after having a single image of Labradorite in my head, which led to my decision to become a jewelry designer, and to the designs you see on this website today.

Happy thinking, positive thoughts and should you have any questions about Labradorite, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Wald, Stones in Harmony
