Welcome to Stones in Harmony. Since I was four years old my love for stones started on the islands and coasts of Maine, where I still try to frequent every summer with my daughter and husband. It was in Rockland, ME that I saw a magazine about Jewelry making with the smooth ocean stones abundant there. I remember the sadness of letting go of a Fitness Instruction career to the pain of Rheumatoid Arthritis that vacation, yet being comforted by one of these stones.
When you wrap a round smooth stone in your hand from those waters, there is a sensation which draws you to the sounds and rhythms of the ocean. It is no wonder that so many crystal healers write about holding or wearing many beautiful gemstones, and how they can decrease stress levels, anxiety, depression, ailments and ultimately – bring you back to a state of harmony.
Each creation displayed has been crafted with the best that mother nature can offer: symmetry, calmness and that feeling you might remember when you saw a stone that was the perfect thing to take home as a souvenir from a distant beach, or a color of candy that you enjoyed from a country store. You may even envision a color combination from the natural gemstones that brings to memory a piece of clothing that you just have to bring out from your closet.
Every semi-precious stone I use is hand-picked and examined for beauty, from Jade to Fresh Water Pearls. Each stone has a mythical feature as well. Amazonite for example, is a calming and soothing gemstone to promote relaxation. I have selected sterling silver and gold wire to accompany the stones I use for that perfect outfit you might like to compliment. Where cost is a consideration for you, you’ll find gold toned and silver toned options that are just as appeasing.
